Our History

In 2020 and 2021 I had the opportunity to visit the Dominican Republic multiple times to see my family
and to vacation in Island's beautiful beaches! I also had the opportunity to visit several towns in different
areas of the country. During my visits I was able to observe the great need that my people have, not so
much the need for food, clothing and other basic needs (which are indeed required), my eyes were
looking at something else... The need for opportunity... The need to provide the resources that my
people crave in order to make their dreams come true just like I did, growing up in the United States...
the need to live a prosperous and thriving life... The need for young people not to have to emigrate to
another country in order to achieve their dreams.
This is how Hora de Florecer Foundation was born. It is time for all of us to contribute a grain of salt and
bet on our country and our people. It is time for all our dreams to be within reach of everyone that
works hard and wants to achieve them in our land. It is time for young people to imagine a bright future
without having to leave their land or their people. It is time for parents to help their children achieve
their goals here in the great Dominican Republic!
Hora de Florecer Foundation has the goal of collaborating with our community in the Dominican
Republic and abroad to promote health, nutrition, vocational education, entrepreneurship and the
overall well-being of our people. I invite you to participate in this project that is from everyone to
everyone. It is time that our dreams are not dreams, but our reality.
